In an age where we have more and more access to music, it seems we sing less and less. Congregational singing is an important outlet for our worship here at First Baptist Church and our choice of songs and ensembles reflect that. We believe that worship is our affirming and surrendering response to all God has done and is doing in and through our lives. As a result, rather than put on a show, we believe musical worship is a participatory undertaking of the whole church as we "join with all nature in manifold witness to His great faithfulness, mercy, and love!"

Choir
Our choir is open to all members who want to make much of Jesus Christ through song. Rehearsal is every Wednesday from 7pm-9pm and Sundays from 8am-9:15am. A wide variety of musical styles are employed in order to reflect our multiethnic and multigenerational congregation. Singers wishing to join the choir should contact David Busch at david@firstsf.com.

No modern church can minister effectively without talented and hardworking sound and visual personnel. Even if you have no previous experience in these areas, we are happy to provide training to help you feel comfortable in whatever role you are placed. Videographers, photographers, audio and visual engineers make sure all the hard work and efforts of the worship team and preaching ministry get communicated well to our church body and the local community. Band musicians are members who have met with the Minister of Music and Worship Arts and whose personal testimonies show evidence of spiritual growth. We welcome musicians from every genre, from classically trained orchestral musicians to talented garage band rockers, to hip-hop and everything in between!
